WMF Hammered Silverplate BAUSCHER WEIDEN Porcelain Insulated 1.4L Coffee Tea Pot

  
Offering this beautiful Art Deco Bauscher Weiden fully insulated (felt/wool) 1.4 liter coffee or tea pot. Made in Germany in the 1930's-40's; marked with WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik). Raised on three ball Bakelite feet with Bakelite finial on lid. Porcelain pot is deco designed with dramatic vertical grooves.

This style coffee pot was prevalent in hotels between 1927 - 1945. (Deutsches Reichspatent) mark indicates a patent pre-1945.

Sensational preowned condition; porcelain free of chips, cracks or crazing. Silver recently polished and well maintained with only a couple minor dents. All felt lining of the thermal insulator intact. Finial on lid is slightly askew but could easily be bent back into alignment but I will leave that to the new owner.

9.5 H to top of finial knob. 9.5 W spout to handle. Weighs 3.9 lbs before packing. My low opening price is not representative of item value.
