Very good condition for its age.... Mark dates it to the late 1870s-1880s. Could be used as a biscuit barrel, but the smaller size makes me think it's more likely a tea caddy. Silver plate lid and frame could use some polishing. Floral design shows light paint wear and bottom edge of porcelain have 4 fleabite chips, but they're not very noticeable unless you turn it over.
Lid is stamped with Thomas Wilkinson marks on underside. Imari pattern with red orange flowers accented with black and gold. Pattern number marked on bottom....
Piece measures about 4" tall (not including the finial on the lid), 4 1/8" in diameter across the bottom and 3 5/8 in diameter across the top. See all pics for details.
