This listing is for a Victorian silver plate teapot, manufactured by James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield England. The teapot rests on a lion paw designed base and features an oval burner as shown in the pictures. The teapot is in a half fluted design with an ebony handle and matching finial. Condition: The teapot and base are in good condition as shown in the pictures.
The base is solid with no breaks or repairs. The silver plate is shiny. The burner that rests in the base is oval but doesn't have the snuffer or cap which would have been on the top at one time. The teapot rests on the base as it should. The handle and finial are both sturdy and there are no visible repairs.The inside of the teapot shows staining but it clean and usable.
