Wonderful Victorian statement four piece tea and coffee service. Silver plated, of large round bodies resting on pedestal feet. The pieces are embossed with a fluted wrythen design and engraved with floral swags, garlands and bows.

The milk jug and sugar bowl have applied acanthus leaf motifs to handles and are gold-washed inside. Magnificent and very large set that will be a centrepiece of any dining table! Made by James Deakin & Sons, Sheffield, c. Teapot - 21 cm tall, 25.5 cm spout to handle, 14.5 cm wide. Coffeepot - 27.5 cm tall, 22.5 cm spout to handle, 12.5 cm wide.

Sugar bowl - 13 cm tall, 19 cm handle to handle, 12.5 cm wide. Milk jug / creamer - 17 cm tall, 11.5 cm spout to handle, 8.5 cm wide. Milk jug spout a bit uneven; the tip of the coffeepot is slightly dented; the teapot spout has a small split and dent; small indents to handles where the lid finials hit the handle.
