ORNATE Simpson Hall Miller silverplated 3 piece tilting teapot/pitcher is in AMAZING condition! This Victorian pitcher dates to 1880s.

Pitcher is 12 1/2" tall, about 10 1/2" wide, with 7 diameter base. 16 1/2 tall with pitcher placed on base.

Opulent detailed grapes, leaves and vine motif, accented by geometric encased flowers, feathered swirls & faceted. Pitcher fits base properly and rocks forward easily for pouring.

Hallmark incised on pitcher base "Simpson Hall Miller, Wallingford Conn treble plate, Pat Model #39". Second embossed circular hallmark is marked "Patented by JAS Simpson 1854 Extended for 7 years".

Second part of base has a well for collecting condensation and waste. Six three dimensional female figures adorn third piece of base, repeating the grape design. One dent on one side of pitcher.

5 pindot dents near base on other side of pitcher-hard to see. Appears to have been refinished-very shiny with small areas needing polish where finish has worn off.

I polished one tiny spot and it came out clean and shiny. I have never used pitcher to pour any liquid-used for display only. I strive for 5 star feedback and want you to be completely satisfied. Many of my items are vintage or antique and will show appropriate wear from age and use. Visible damage will be noted to the best of my ability.
