Have nothing in your houses that you do not consider to be beautiful or useful. French Art Deco 6- Piece Coffee & Tea Service on Tray. An elegant, octagonal styled heavily silverplated six piece coffee and tea service, with sugar bowl, creamer and sugar tongs on a serving tray, from the 1930s the French Art Deco period. All pieces except the tongs and tray are styled in an octagonal 8 sided form with geometric handles and a beautifully crafted two-piece rectangular wooden handles on the top of the sugar bowl, tea and coffee servers. The coffee pot is 7 inches high (18 cms), the tea pot is 5 ¾ inches high (14.7 cms), the sugar bowl is 4.

Inches high (10 cms) and the cream/milk jug. Is 3 1/8 inches high (8 cms).

The tray is 20 3/8 inches (52 cms) long from one end of the handle to the other by 12 ¼ inches (31 cms) wide. All pieces are in very good condition.

The four main serving pieces the tea and coffee pots, the sugar bowl and the creamer/milk jug hardly have any traces of exterior surface wear. The inside edges of the tea and coffee pot lids have some minor traces but invisible when closed. They are very clean inside ready for use. The bottom edge of the cream/milk jug is very, very slightly ding, invisible when in place. The sugar tongs have minor traces of use.

The serving tray has some signs of wear but no loss of silvering, probably caused when the set was carried back and forth. The handles are firmly attached. It is a solid ensemble, weighing almost 8 lbs in all and looks very handsome on a sideboard or coffee table. Vintage and antique objects have lived and been used and because of that, they sometimes show it.

The condition of the object is described as accurately as possible, including its character flaws. But that is really part of the attraction and enjoyment of an old piece.
