Four-Piece Art Deco Silver Plate Tea Set by Keith Murray for Mappin & Webb. An Elegant Art Deco Design, Vintage Silver Plate Four-piece Tea Set, by Mappin and Webb, designed by Keith Murray.

The set comprises of a 1-pint Teapot, Hot Water or Coffee Pot, Two handled Sugar Bowl and a Milk or Cream Jug. Each marked on several places on the base, including; Mappin & Webbs, Mappin Plate, London & Sheffield, W27681, the B date shield and 0.963. Presented in True Art Deco Style, from the 1934/5 catalogue and is reputed to be a Keith Murray design. The Pots boast a four-tiered Stepped top with a pivot lid, grooved bands, tapering spouts & black Bakelite right-angled handles and elegant Knops. This Set comes in very good Antique/vintage condition; without cracks, dents, warping or missing silver plate.

The Plating has little oxidation and cleaner buildup and only moderate surface scratching and marks. In keeping with age and general use. The internal sections have little discolouration or tanning buildup. The handles and knops are solid, a good black colour, crack and chip free. Height 16.5 x Width 22.5 x Depth 12 cm.
