Christofle France Art Deco Hotel Silver Tea Set

  
Superb Art Deco tea set made by Christofle of France in early 20th century. Production of tea set pieces date circa 1927 to 1930. There are five pieces; coffee pot, teapot, large sugar bowl with lid, Pot au Lait, and individual creamer. This is formidable, hotel weight silverplate that you will have forever.

It was designed for commercial use for European hotels. This tea set was never monogrammed. The marks of all pieces include, " Christofle, Balance Scales CC ".

The coffee pot is 5 inches tall and stamped, 0.500 L. The teapot is also 0.500 L.

The covered sugar bowl is stamped 0.500 L. The tall milk pitcher is 0.300, and tiny cream pot, 0.075 L.

Christofle silver plating has smooth textures with all pieces matching in silver consistency. All pieces are shiny, sturdy & reflective. Sugar bowl is incredibly heavy and substantial. Would make a modern Art Deco display for mints or chocolates too. The teapot (has an inside filter in spout) and coffee pot were definitely used.
