Antique Wilcox Holloware Silverplate Tea Caddy with High Relief Floral Repousse

  

Rare Wilcox holloware tea caddy with high relief floral repousse. The piece was made in Meriden, CT, between 1867 and 1898 by the Wilcox Silver Plate Co. Using a style many would describe as art nouveau. It weighs 14.1 oz, stands approximately 5 1/2 inches tall, and is about 4 1/4 inches in diameter. The patina has been left intact.

There is a minor bend in the mouth, minor scratches on the bottom, and some discoloration inside and on some of the more detailed exterior areas.
