This is one very fine and grand Victorian tea set. It is a four piece set, very elaborate, the pieces have wide bulbous bases and are each engraved with roses and all stand raised on scroll feet. The pieces are crafted in very high quality silver plate marked to the base with numbers and they have very decorative melon top finials. They have grand scroll handles and the pots each have ceramic washers to prevent the handles getting too hot. The set consists of a large sugar bowl, a creamer, a teapot and a coffee pot.
This is an early Victorian piece, c1850s made in England very well made and designed. A beautiful and regal set for the home. Good used condition overall, well kept, some tarnish internally, light surface wear commensurate with age and use, a little wear to the ceramic washers.
