Antique Standard Silver Co Tea Coffee Set / Tray Victorian 5 pcs. Circa 1900

  
This is for a wonderful smaller tea set from the Standard Silver Company LTD of Toronto Canada. It is marked on the base "Manufactured and Guaranteed by" also with the number 2023 "Special Hard White Metal".

Standard Silver in 1893 joined to Acme Silver Co. And then in 1912 merged with the popular International Silver Co of Canada. These pieces all have engraving on the bowls of them for added decoration and lending to the Victorian look of them. Is an alloy, usually containing two or more of the following elements: tin, copper, antimony, lead and bismuth.

The resulting end color depends on whether the tin or the lead predominates. The more tin the whiter the color. 1 - Tea pot measuring: 7.5 inches x 9 inches x 5.5 inches. 1 - Sugar Bowl with lid measuring: 4.5 inches x 6 inches x 3.5 inches.

1 - Creamer measuring: 4.5 inches x 5 inches x 3.5 inches. 1 - Waist bowl measuring: 6 inches x 7 inches x 4.5 inches. 1 - Tray measuring: 19.5 inches x 11.25 inches x 2.5 inches. The actual serving pieces are all in very good condition with no dents or dings.

The tray is the only piece with issues and the overlay having missing areas and shows wear. They are less noticeable when the set is placed on top of the tray. The inside of the pieces may need more cleaning if using. It is really hard to believe this set is so old! I may or may not know details but do spend time researching information to provide details the best I can and to pass along fair prices. I take all my own pictures in my home and as such try and get all the colors as true to correct as possible. I show any imperfections I can in the pictures.
