Antique Rogers Smith & Co New Haven Conn. Silver Plate Tea Pot No. The only example I can find is a piece located in the Metropolitan Museum of Art! This teapot has japanese designs along with a peacock engraved into one side. The feet have a Japanese Figure Head on each one.

The top finial is rare and a sign of social hierarchy. This is the Holy Grail of Rogers Teapots! It does need some more TLC. I began to clean it but I was weary because of the value.

The bottom has two Christmas stamps that I removed to expose the Maker. I did not remove the residue yet. Maker: Rogers, Smith and Company (1857-77). Geography: Made in New Haven, Connecticut, United States.
