Antique Kate Greenaway Child Tea Caddy Acme Silver Plate 3 Part Box Victorian

  

Offering this terrific, figural antique tea caddy with a classic Kate Greenaway boy by Acme Silver Plate Co. The caddy has a basketweave design with a boy to one side and a piece of fruit - possibly an apple implying the boy is the son of William Tell or a plum implying it's Little Jack Horner - on top. Under the lid is a second lid. There is normal age and display wear including small scuffs/scratches and minor plate wear to the finish, but overall this is in good, antique condition. Measures about 3 1/4" wide not including the figure and about 3 1/2" tall including the fruit finial.
