ANTIQUE E. G. WEBSTER & SON SILVER PLATED 6-SIDED TEA CADDY, c. 1900
Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a gorgeous Victorian Period silver plated (silver over copper) 6-sided Tea Caddy made by E. This unusual tea caddy has beautiful, highly chased decoration with six panels with assorted scenes in the design in high relief. Intricate floral design on lid with scalloped edge. Both the lid and the base have stamp hallmarks for the E. Webster & Son, Brooklyn NY. The company began business in 1886. Measures 3 3/8" high, 2 3/4" wide and 2 3/4 deep. This wonderful tea caddy is in very nice condition although the silver is worn in areas and the copper base metal shows through in the shoulder are giving a warm appearance (see photos). There is no other damage, flaws or repairs. We at Antiques & Moore have been in the Antiques business for over 30 years and try to describe our items as accurately as possible.
