The Attention to Detail and Fine Casting Décor is second to None! The Tea Pot and Hot Water Jug is Festooned with Decoration including Fine Griffin Head Pouring Spouts, these are remarkable as these elongated spouts appear at first glance to be decorated with fine Feather work, a second look then confirms the Brilliance of this Design. The detailing of the feather work is actually making up Large English Green Man Busts to the base of each spout.
The Huge Tea Pot & Hot Water Jug are then Completed with Very Fine Castings of Eagles in Flight. The Eagles are actually the Finials to the Tea Pot and Hot Water Jugs. Please look at the photographs as the Four Piece Set is just Amazingly Unique and Totally A Figment of Imagination and Totally High Victorian / Aesthetics Movement at it very Best! The set is just so wonderful and a total Unique Statement Set. The set is of remarkable quality and in fantastic antique condition. There is no dings or damage and the Silver Plate shines to almost perfection. This is a period antique set and therefore there are very slight signs of use and wear but this is consummate with the age and use of the set and I have never found a finer example.
Please take time to look at the detailed photographs as there is so much fine detail within this set that it is impossible to fully describe and do the set the justice it deserves. Every detail is stunning and screams quality. Each of the four pieces also have beautiful Scalloped Edges to the pieces.
The Set is in fine English Sheffield Plate and is of Vast Proportions and of Remarkable weight. To give an example of size the tea pot from spout to handle is 12" across and nearly 8" in height.
The water jug is 9" wide and stands 10" in height approx. The milk and sugar are of similar vast proportions in keeping with this remarkable set. This is also by a Remarkable Sheffield Silver Smith and each piece is fully marked for The Cooper Brothers of Sheffield! Please bear in mind the size and weight of this remarkable set. The size, form and décor of this set is second to none and is likely that this remarkable unique set will be likely heading to the US.
