Fabulous Early 1800s English Thomas & James Creswick Armorial Tea Service featuring a very Rare Hot Water Kettle which attaches to its stand. Also in the set are a Coffee Pot, Tea Pot, Sugar & Creamer. The scroll and overall design is breathtaking. There is a light golden color to the interior of the sugar and creamer.
Hallmarked on the bottom with the Sheffield Arms symbol along with the letter X and what appears to be a duck head. It also has an armorial on the kettle and Coffee Pot which looks like a lion or dog with a flying bird... Kettle: 14" without raised handle and 18" with handle raised. Overall in excellent condition with minor age appropriate wear as expected from occasional use. All lid hinges work easily and appropriately. The pins holding the kettle work easily and appropriately. There were some very old repairs done to the inside of the teapot, which received the most use. We do not see any dings. The silver could use another dab of polish, however, it appears to polish up nicely and it is very reflective!
