1966 HERITAGE MIDCENTURY CHASED ORNATE 1847 ROGERS TEA & COFFEE SET W /TRAY 5 PC. In 1862 portions of Rogers Bros company were taken from them and attached to Meriden Britannia Company.
The Britannia Company bought the hollowware division, tools, and dies from Rogers Brothers and many independent silversmiths joined them and form International Silver Co. Complete original presentation set in excellent conditions showing a solid quality manufacture meticulous sculpted like design pretty much in the upscale manufacture all weighted bottoms substantial plating with impressive detail to the solid castings shaping extremities handle finals and applied around the neck's base and around the lid, strong handles and hinges, clean insides no corrosion or build up some tarnish to the pots, gold wash to the creamer, no spotting, dents, monograms, breaks or repairs the tray shows no cuts, nicks or dents light scratching mostly from storage overall bright mirrored finish and splendid detail to the huge solid castings shaping handles and frame, the service area enhanced with an elaborated ornate rococo hand chased coffee pot 10 1/4" by 10", 3.9 lbs weight, teapot 8" by 10 1/4" 3.0 lbs weight, Sugar bowl 6" by 6 1/4", 1.9 lbs weight, Creamer/Syrup pitcher 5 1/4" by 5" 1.6 lbs weight, Service tray 24 1/2" by 15", 7.6 lbs weight.
