Tray shown in image was for display purposes ONLY. (It was by Leonard, was damaged and is no longer available). The Towle pieces are very good to excellent and the interiors are all clean.
The lid on the samovar stays open a bit. I suspect someone may have forced the hinge a bit. But the set actually does not appear to have been used, as the burner is very clean and unmarred.
Very nice sheen but could use some additional polishing - which goes very quickly. Other than the samovar, lids fit tight and smooth. This is quite heavily plated and clearly didn't suffer from over-polishing. NONE of the pieces are engraved.
The coffee pot stands about 11 1/2 inches tall. The tea pot about 10 1/4 inches tall. The 6 piece coffee/tea service weighs (boxed and padded) between 16 to 19 pounds. There are no dents or dings to any of the pieces, so it will be important to pad and box each piece to ensure they stay that way!
