THIS VERY RARE SILVER PLATE CHOCOLATE/ TEA/ COFFEE OR WATER POT SET, WAS CRAFTED BY WM. ROGERS AND SON AND CONSISTS OF 4 PIECES -- A POT WITH HINGED LID. A HANGING MECHANISM, WHICH ALLOWS THE POT TO SWING AND TILT WITH A BASE FOR THE CUP AND POT. A WARMING PLATE, AND A FOOTED CUP. HE TOP LIP OF THE CUP IS SLIGHTLY DENTED AS MAY BE EXPECTED AND AGE APPROPRIATE BUT OVERALL, THE SET IS IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION.PLEASE CHECK PHOTOS FOR A CLOSER LOOK BUT. THE PICTURES DO NOT ADEQUATELY REPRESENT THE BEAUTY OF THE SET. THE LAST PICTURE IS JUST A SIMILAR EXAMPLE. THERE WAS A LOT OF CAMERA GLARE WHEN WE TOOK THE PICTURES HOWEVER THE SET IS BRIGHT, VERY ORNATE AND THE SILVER IS IN REALLY NICE SHAPE AND IS FROM A NON-SMOKING HOME! MEASUREMENTS FROM BASE TO TOP HANDLE IS 20 INCHES.
THE POT ITSELF IS 11 INCHES, THE WIDTH FROM THE EDGE OF THE SPOUT TO THE HANDLE IS 11 INCHES. THE BASE HAS A 9 1/2 INCH DIAMETER. FROM THE EDGE OF THE CUP TO THE OPPOSITE SIDE THE MEASUREMENT IS 14 INCHES. THE CUP IS 4 7/8 INCHES HIGH.THE BOTTOM HAS MARKS "HARTFORD CONN "WM. ROGERS & SON 16" A SCRATCHED MARK "0047" AND A NUMBER THAT LOOKS LIKE "45.
