Antique English Art Deco 7 Piece Silver-plate Coffee & Tea Set with Water/tea Urn & Tray. My Grandmother loved the ceremony of serving tea and/or coffee to company. She had many different sets of all different patterns and designs & from all over the world. This set is from the Art Deco period which developed in France during the 1920s.

The intent of this style moderne movement was to develop more sleek lines in contrast to the highly ornate styles of the late 19. Century using simple clean shapes, often with a streamlined look, using expensive materials. This is an Art Deco English silver-plate 7-piece coffee & tea set which includes a water/tea pot on stand plus a sleek 28-inch tray. The lines of the set are simple & clean with 2 bands of floral decoration.

The tray is 28 inches long, without decoration save for a simple floral band around the tray & handles. The center is completely free of ornamentation simple & clean. It has been re-silvered in London by my Mothers silversmith. The set has been beautifully preserved.

We have had this set polished and shined, and it is in excellent antique condition. We have included a silver metal stand so that the set & tray may have a separate serving station of its own, if desired. It would certainly make a lovely gift or addition to your own home.
