5 piece silver soldered antique english tea set with crest mark SILENTIO

  

A very finely done tea set marked made in England , warranted hard and silver soldered. Three markings depicting makers mark that I have been unable to find. All pieces are crest marked to sides with what looks like a wolf rearing up and the word SILENTIO in a scroll beneath. Wooden handles and top finials to the teapots.

The set consists of large coffee pot, 9 inches tall by 10 inches across from spout to handle, teapot 7 inches tall by 10 1/2 spout handle. A footed based teapotthis has a base with attached keys to secure pot onto base and a stereo heat insert, pot 10 inches tall to handle top by 9 inches wide spoutthe top handle of this is secure but the wood piece to top has loosened out to one sideband could be tightened. Base of this is 3 1/2 x 7 inches.

There is a open sugar bowl 3 inch tall by 7 1/2 inch wide from handle to handle. (sugar has some dark spot around inner base edges)creamer is 3 1/2 inch tall by 5 1/2 inch wide, the teapot with base has a spot of discolor to silver by the hinge to the top as if may have been fixed at some point. Just 1 1/2 inch spot where silver is slightly duller in color but subtle 2 dings on this and little scratches that could buff out. Regular teapot has a 1 inch thin dent on side not very deep. Open sugar has mild dimple dent, creamer looks good.

Inside bottoms of pots need some cleaning little dirty at bottoms and all could use bit more polish. Set really is impressive and great crest mark.
